The purposes for which the corporation is organized are exclusively charitable and educational within the meaning of Section 50l(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law (the “Code”), and the objects to be carried on and promoted by it are as follows:

• To promote the health, education and welfare of the citizens of Alabama, particularly in communities which have a high percentage of culturally or economically disadvantaged residents, or large minority population, or which otherwise have been underserved in these areas;
• To assist and facilitate the development of educational and health facilities in Alabama;
• To sponsor health fairs, seminars, outreaches and similar events to educate the public on health issues and to encourage good health habits and practices;
• To provide educational scholarships to worthy individuals;
